Scripture Hike

  • Hartley Nature Center 3001 Woodland Avenue Duluth, MN, 55803 United States (map)

Meet us at the Hartley Nature Center in Woodland to do our first scripture hike! This week we will cover the concept of “walking by faith” and highlight some of the scriptures that showcase this. Snowshoes will be provided through the Hartley Nature Center!

Core Passages:

2 Corinthians 5:7 - “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 - “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Hebrews 11:6 - “Without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believer that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

After reading the core passages of the day we will also cover some examples and actions of faith that are showcased in the bible such as the Apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20.

Finally we will cover scriptures that show us how faith grows, and then ask the following questions during our hike!

How do emotions, opinions, or pressure from others affect our trust in God?

How is faith different from just trusting what we can see or prove?

Why do you think faith is so important to God?

What is one practical way you can grow your faith this week?

If you're not sure how our scripture hikes work, feel free to checkout more information under our “about” pages.
